MIRAPOX 952-34

GENERAL

Mirapox 952-34 Part A is a low viscosity, clear epoxy resin ,When combined with Mirapox 952-34 B and selected fillers, it provides excellent base for bearing plinths, bridge joint nosing and general concrete repairs. Because of this low creep resistance it is especially suitable for bridge bearing plinths.

Excellent overall physical and mechanical properties.
Practically non-toxic.
Good all round chemical and water resistance.
Very good adhesion to concrete and steel with proper pre- treatment.
Long pot life and low exothermic that results in lower internal stress.

TYPICAL USES

Basically as a priner for epoxy mortar to ensure a good bond between the concrete and the epoxy mortar.

SURFACE PREPARATION

To achieve strong joints, it is essential that the joint surfaces are dry, mechanically sound and free from contamination, such as oil or grease. Concrete can be conveniently prepared by grit blasting or wire brushing to remove all the laitance until the main aggregate appears. PRIMER – it than applied before the application of the mortar.

MIXING

Mirapox 952-34 is supplied in pre-weigh quantity to avoid the mistake on site. However if smaller quantity is required,a good weighing scale should be used to weigh out the quantity of material. Mixing is done by using a mechanical mixer. The mixed Mirapox 952-34 A/B/C epoxy mortar must be used up within pot life.

MINIMUM THICKNESS (mm)

Not exceeding more than 50, if thickness exceed, twice application is require. Before second trowel, the first mortar application got to roughen surface to receive the next application.
